Monumental 14th Century Crucifix Adopted by Chapter Members

We are so grateful and proud to announce that members of the Minnesota and North Dakota chapters of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums have adopted the restoration of a monumental 14th century wooden crucifix.

John and Paula Kelly have graciously agreed to restore this monumental wooden sculpture, which constitutes an important chapter in European Art between the Medieval and Baroque period, with particular interest spreading in the Germanic and Northern European communities. The Kelly family has also previously sponsored the restorations of a beautiful rescued mural which has recently been completed.

We’ll post updates to this project’s restoration progress as well as additional information soon, but in the meantime, we’d like to offer our sincere gratitude to the Kelly family for ensuring that this important artifact of faith will last for generations to come.
